Having many contacts in your contact list can be a sign of being too sociable, but when you have many contacts and you don’t know half of it, it can turn into a serious problem, specially when you end up being harassed or bullied by contacts you added in your contact list and you don’t even know who those people are. Hotmail has many tools to help us with this problem, but here we have a special function we can use with these people.
To start with, you shouldn’t add people you barely or don’t know to your hotmail’s contact list, it can bring lots of troubles, from simple bullying to virus spreading or informational thief. In case something bad start happening with a contact in your account, the easiest way to get rid of these people is by just blocking the contact, and this is really easy to do indeed. But to do so, you should have Windows Live Messenger in your computer, if you don’t have it, you should download it from Hotmail’s site and install it right away. Once you’ve installed it, log-in to your Hotmail account and wait for it to connect. Once you’ve successfully logged-in to your Hotmail account by Windows Live Messenger, now you must look for the troublesome contact and right-click it. This will cause many options to pop-up, but the one we’re for is the one called “Block Contact”, and ocne you’ve find it, click on it. This will cause to block the contact, and now he/she won’t be able to see our status, send us messages or annoy us.
Of course, if the contact is more than troublesome, we can just delete it from our contact list and now he/she won’t even be able to see us as contacts, which would be even easier that blocking it and keep it in our contact list.
