Sharing the files on SkyDrive

Sharing the files in SkyDrive

In a previous article we explained you a new way of online storing, called SkyDrive. The terrific space of 25 GB just for us and our files can be pretty cool, but things can be better. Storing your files is one of the things you can do with this service, because you can also share the files you have stores using this new free storing service, and doing so is pretty easy too.

Why is this better than sending the files as attachments to your contact? Well, in that way we’re limited to a space of just 10 MB per message, and if you want to send a file of, lest say, 100 MB, you’ll have to split the file in 10 parts of 10 MB using Winrar or another splitting program, and it can be very tiring, and the bigger the file, the more troublesome it becomes. But with this storing service, you can also share the files to your contacts, which is even easier than sending the files in little 10 MB pieces, or than uploading to another website (which limits is no more than 1 GB). To do this you just need simple steps. First of all, you must be logged-in to your hotmail account. Then you need to upload the file you want to send to SkyDrive. After that, open the file, and after that loads you can choose the option “Send to contact” available.

As you can see, this is the easiest way to send a contact some kind of heavy file, and you can even send files that have the limit capacity of SkyDrive (of course, a 25 GB file will take waaaaay too much to be downloaded in another computer).
